BodyArmor Sports Drink Review: Rehydrate and Refuel Your Body

When you’re looking for a sports drink, it’s important to know what you’re getting into. You want something that tastes good and gives you the energy you need to get through your workout—but you also don’t want anything artificial or with dyes or sweeteners that could potentially cause side effects.

That’s where BodyArmor Superdrink comes in. It’s a sports drink that offers everything you need to stay hydrated, replenish electrolytes, and get the most out of your workout without worrying about harmful ingredients. And it’s available in many flavors and the product has been endorsed by Kobe Bryant.

Flavor Options

It has a nice combination of sweetness and tartness that makes it easy to drink, but it’s not overpoweringly sweet like some other sports drinks. The aftertaste is really pleasant as well—it doesn’t leave you with that awful “I’ve just had something really sugary” feeling.

They have 12 flavors in their line. Each one is unique. Here’s a breakdown of our favorite BodyArmor flavor options:

Strawberry Banana
Fruit Punch
Orange Mango
Tropical Punch
Gold Berry

They also offer a sugar-free version of their sports drink, which is called BodyArmor LYTE. It’s great for anyone trying to avoid sugar. And don’t worry about missing out on vitamins or electrolytes, either!

Bodyarmor has 90 calories per 12 oz serving, which is about average for sports drinks. It contains 10% coconut water, which gives it a unique flavor that makes it stand out from other drinks on the market.

The potassium content of Bodyarmor is 530mg per serving—more than double what most other brands offer. Potassium helps with muscle contraction and is essential for proper heart function.

It’s also gluten-free, so if you’re sensitive to gluten or have celiac disease, this is a good option for you.

It also contains B vitamins, which are important for metabolism. This means that your body will be able to use the energy from this drink more efficiently than it would otherwise.

Calories Compared to other BodyArmor products

Regular BodyArmor has 90 calories per serving, a higher amount than other BodyArmor products like its LYTE and SportWater version. If you are trying to lose weight or if you have diabetes, regular BodyArmor may not be a good choice for you.

BodyArmor LYTE has 1⁄4 the calories of the regular version and is a good source of electrolytes. It would be a good choice if you’re looking for something with no sugar.

Comparing BodyArmor to Other Sports Drinks

And if you are active, BodyArmor isn’t necessarily the best choice for your health. It has more calories per serving than both Gatorade and Powerade, so if you’re looking for a drink with fewer calories, those are better options.

BodyArmor has a high concentration of potassium, which makes it unique. Other sports drinks don’t have as much potassium.

How does BodyArmor taste?

When I tasted the Bodyarmor Sports Drink, I was pretty impressed.

It has a coconut flavor to it, which is something I’ve never tried in a sports drink before. This made it a little weird at first—I’m not used to drinking anything with a coconut flavor—but once I got used to the taste, it was actually very refreshing and easy to drink.

It had a slightly weird aftertaste that took some getting used to, but after chilling it for a bit, the aftertaste went away and the smoothness of the drink really came out.

In terms of sweetness level, this product falls somewhere between “slightly sweetened” and “very sweetened.” The drink tastes delicious when chilled—we highly recommend keeping it in the fridge so it’s nice and cold.

Price Comparison

At the time of publishing, regular BodyArmor retails for about $2.00 to $2.50 per 12-ounce.

The price of BodyArmor is a little high when compared to other sports drinks in our database:

Final Review

BodyArmor is a premium sports drink rich in potassium, which is great for replenishing your body after working out. It’s sweeter than most brands, but this can actually be a good thing if you are working out heavily and sweating a lot.

While water is still the best way to stay hydrated, BodyArmor can be a helpful supplement if your workout lasts longer than an hour or so. It’s also important to note that it’s a little on the expensive side—but it’s worth it if you want something that will give you a boost in your performance!
